Maggie is an accomplished ChiRunning® and Pilates coach with 17 years of international teaching experience. She also holds a degree in research methods, Masters level certification in Pilates, and is a qualified life coach. Her clients have included sufferers of acute and chronic pain through to professional sportspeople, paralympians and Olympic gold medallists.
Over the past sixteen years Maggie has worked in athlete training facilities, biomedical clinics and studios across Australia and North America. Maggie gained Pilates certification with LifeCare (Australia) – a comprehensive teacher- training program with a strong rehabilitative focus. From 2002 – 2005 Maggie furthered her inquiry into human health through her degree studies at the University of Queensland. In 2007 Maggie graduated from the Master’s Program at The Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado. After graduation Maggie moved to Calgary, Canada where she directed a clinical Pilates program for Canada’s largest private provider of outpatient rehabilitation services. She also trained Canadian athletes for National Sport Development’s high performance program including two gold medallists at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic games. In 2010 Maggie relocated to Melbourne. Shortly after, she travelled to Singapore to certify as a ChiRunning® coach. In 2015 Maggie initiated a project with Australian Para-lympic team, through which she developed her current role as paralympic Pilates instructor. In the same year Maggie became a qualified Life Coach. Maggie is committed to her continuing education and growth as a practitoner, in particular through her connection to The Pilates Center in Boulder, studies in Body Mind Centering and elite coaching projects. After 17 years of teaching and physical practice Maggie has formed a clear understanding of Pilates and ChiRunning® as a highly potent life giving practices that can support every aspect of human health. In her own ChiRunning® practice Maggie is dedicated to the pursuit of mastery. As a result she is rewarded with effortless speed, minimal recovery time and freedom from injury.
