Running for me is like a journey into the moment. On longer distances, for example, one might experience that the way to the finish line is by far longer than your mind is willing to accept. Here the solution lies in the moment: if your concentration stays in the moment and on good running form, you can relax and enjoy the ride as the pain dissolves and hence the suffering, that is pain’s own traveling companion. That is what ChiRunning teaches us: alignment and relaxation. This got me so fascinated that I started running ultra marathons and became a ChiRunning instructor to share my experiences and make this process available to anybody. ChiRunning is like a shortcut to good running form – you can directly learn efficiency, prevent injuries and really enjoy running.
