Recovery from Aches & Pains
I used your ChiRunning techniques and it truly made a difference! At NO time during the entire race did my quads or my knees get achy or fatigued – NOT ONCE!!! However, my glutes and my hip flexors did get sore, especially my glutes. I think it
was lactic acid and I’m sure it was becuase I was not used to running this way. I feel confident that if I had trained for the marathon using the ChiRunning technique, that this pain would have been reduced. Do you have any tips or suggestions for how to deal with this pain? Or is it just a matter of getting your body acclimated to the new form? The glute pain definitely slowed me down in the 2nd half of the race. Don’t get me wrong…I’m still absolutely thrilled about the technique and the fact that my thighs and my knees didn’t hurt at all…that’s absolutely amazing!
