I have written you before about my running and having to cancel running Boston this year due to injury. I have worked more with the ChiRunning principles and entered my first ultramarathon at the Chicago Lakefront 50/50 on October 30. There were very strong cross winds throughout the race which made using the techniques more difficult than my training ( I decided not to run during Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne) but ChiRunning did assist me in not only completing my first 50 miler but also finishing first in my age division. Even better, two days later and I have very little sorness. Concentrating on maintaining relaxation in the legs is certainly the key to long endurance and minimizing the damage to the muscles. I thank you for the assistance of your book and DVD. I will continue enjoying the miles and working to be a better Chi Runnner.
