Danny, at the New York Expo you introduced ChiRunning and we discussed my concern about my achilles which might cause me trouble during the marathon. I doubted whether my <4 hr target was still feasible. Friday night I read most of your book and did a few excercises. During the friendship run I practiced a bit to get a feel for it. During the marathon I tried to practice as much as possible and I could really feel a difference. During the last two miles my right calve started protesting but by focussing on keeping everything under my knee limb I could continue running. I finished in 3:51 so I am really proud. My achilles were not affected by my first marathon.
