My Running Has Improved
I just wanted to tell you how much my running has improved since I took a class with instructor Kelly Ryan of Kamuela, HI. Even though no one else had signed up she gave me a class. I was training for the Ford Hawaii 1/2 Ironman and I feel she went out of her way to be sure I got the class in time. I had lost a lot of running time due being hit in the legs by a moped in January of this year. I had been trying to practice Chirunning from the book but she helped it all come together so much better. Because of a rough swim and some bad directions plus a flat on the bike ride I missed the time cut off before the run at the 1/2 Ironman so I did not get the opportunity to “show off” my new running skills. I will be back next year. In the meantime I am training for the Kona Half Marathon. My run times are now between 11 and 11:20 minute miles. Last year I ran the Kona half at a 12:45 pace. I thank Kelly for her help. My compliments to her on a great class. She was very professional and knowledgeable.
