Two days of Chi Running workshops in Melbourne & Sydney: 12 new Chi Runners! In Melbourne what a great and diverse group of people, great day, despite the rain and the mozzies! Next day back in Sydney, a couple of triathletes from Darwin on their way to IM NZ took time out do really well in learning Chi Running. Chi Running is becoming more popular, sought after and recognized in Australia! Chi Running: it just makes sense!

If it is the books you are after, many of the larger book stores (Barnes & Noble, etc) carry the ChiRunning Books. If you don’t see it on the shelf, they can most likely order from the publisher for you.

I want to add my name to the call of introducing Chi Walking/running to Brisbane. Initially it’s walking, but would consider running at a later stage. I have been a Taoist Tai Chi practitioner for some 8 years standing, and it could be possible to arrange a cooperative event if our committee agrees, but we are a non-profit, volunteer organisation. We offer classes in various locations in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Gatton, Toowoomba.

If anyone else in Australia’s reading this and interested, I can’t talk highly enough of Maggie Macgill in Melbourne - she’s registered on this site on the link from ‘ChiLiving’ above. I know she’s taught in different cities around Australia, it’d be worth contacting her. I’ve been ChiRunning for a couple of years, in that time I’ve done 3 or 4 sessions with Maggie and I’ve always come away with a much greater understanding of the Chi Running technique - she’s very creative in helping you get the feel of the technique in your body and has a great eye for any problems.

All the best with your running!

Are there any instructors on the Gold Coast in QLD.
