Looking Forward to Running Again

Steve (Chi Running Instructor in Los Angeles, CA),

Thank you for your email and helpful tips. Your class was fantastic.

The reason I signed up for your workshop is my 24 year old daughter had taken the class in Northern California and said it made all the difference for her. Plus, my chiropractor had nothing but good things to say about Chi Running. I have to agree with both of them.

My story is I haven't been running for the last 1 1/2 years because of a hamstring injury which has kept me out of the last two marathons (prior to that I ran the LA Marathon 7 years in a row). I was actually planning on telling you about the injury before the class, but decided to wait and see if that was necessary. Much to my surprise, the right, upper hamstring didn't complain at all.

The last four days I have been getting up at 5 AM to practice Chi Running. I find that it doesn't bother my hamstrings and doesn't seem to bother my knees (which was my other running complaint). I am so excited that I can look forward to running again!! This morning I was doing Chi Running, and this was the first time I could sense what it felt like to have solid form and to really hit the pavement with good foot alignment.

Anyway, this is a long-winded way of saying thank you for enduring the rain on Saturday and sharing what you have learned.

Best regards,

Bob C.
