Increased agility using the ChiWalking Technique

May 11th, 2009

I just wanted to tell you that I am still working on perfecting my technique in ChiWalking, and am going great. I had my first outdoor dog agility trial of the season last weekend, and ran strongly and without pain! Wow! I am so thrilled.

Right now I have just a hint of under-foot (plantar fascia) sensitivity and tightness (probably after the extra weekend running, and in the excitement of the moment, forgetting my posture), so I'm really concentrating on getting the body points lined up.

I had so much thigh and shin pain before--even to borrowing my husband's cane one time so that I could get back to the car--that I know I would not have been able to continue dog agility and run in these trials if I had not encountered ChiWalking. This is quite a contrast to my orthopedic physician's ineffective only suggestion for the past two years to "take more pain pills"!

Thank you so much,

Kay T.

ChiRunning began to enrich my life on July 3, 2010 when I read the first 100 pages of the book and went for a run, and just focusing on ankle lift made a difference! My running life continues to transform and create joy! I smile when I run and love every minute. I am thrilled and grateful to be part of this ChiRunning community. Thank you for the opportunity to pursue becoming an Instructor.
