From 3 Painful Miles to Confident Half Marathons with Chi Running
Thanks so much for creating Chi Running. After reading "Born to Run" in late 2009 I went out and got the Chi Running book and really connected with the concept. I went from running 3 miles in pain to confident half marathons in about 6 months. The DVD has really helped, as have the metronome and other hints. Nearby Chi Running Instructor Kari Wilkinson was also very helpful. I'm now training for my first full marathon scheduled for this fall at age 51 (of course using your program guide). I am finding that when I really focus on technique, my heart rate drops (using heartrate monitor as suggested) even when going uphill. Chi Running has been an amazing and life changing discovery for me in many ways and I have met some amazing and special people in the process. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
