ChiRunner Decreased Half-Marathon Time by 42 Minutes

Dear Danny and Katherine,

I finished the Buffalo Half Marathon at Catalina Island in 5:12. That may seem excessively long, but I took 42 minutes off my last year's time. (I also didn't get stuck in the mud this year.) I think most of the time I gained was due to relaxing on the downhill and using my knees as shock absorbers to 'run' more fluidly thanks to your and Steve Mackel's coaching. I am trying to eat 90% vegan as per Katherine's advice to watch my diet. I am feeling more clear headed. Thank you both for sharing your expertise.

Just wanted to say that after reading Chi Running and trying it for a week, I felt like it finally "clicked", and I cannot even remember how to run the old way (which I did faithfully for over 20 years).
