ChiRunner Changes Life with Gradual Progress
I just wanted to let you know that I successfully completed my first Half Marathon yesterday thanks to Chi Running. I lost 75 pounds in 2008/2009 with exercise, diet and walking. I took a Chi Running workshop in March of 2009 with Stacy Nordtvedt of Bellingham and I never looked back. I worked up to my first 5K a few months later and have run 5K, 10K and 15K races and now this Half Marathon. I am pleasantly sore in my hamstrings today so I know if I can maintain lean a little more into the hills....well, you know it is a continuing art/science!
The principle of Gradual Progress has been key to my success. At 55 years of age that has been the best way for me to achieve this goal of running a Half Marathon.
I found the Beginner to Half Marathon Training Program that I purchased from your site to be very valuable. Since I was already running I started at about the 3rd or 4th week of the program and at week 14 I ran a 15K. These were little tweaks that fit my situation.
I wrote a year ago to tell you how excited I was about your program and so I thought you might enjoy an update. Again, thank you for introducing me to Chi Running. It truly has changed my life.
