I began learning the Chi Running technique in late 2006 by attending a workshop taught by Danny Dreyer and later received my instructor training in 2009 under Danny Dreyer and Master instructor Vince Vaccaro.

My desire to learn the Chi Running technique was based on its two main goals of injury prevention and energy efficiency and I accredit that these two aspects of the technique allow me to successful train for and complete physically demanding events.  Since I began Chi Running I’ve enjoyed completing running races in exotic locations that have resulted in memorable and rewarding adventures. This has included marathons at the North Pole, the Great Wall of China as well as the 250km Marathon Des Sables race in the Sahara Desert.

The relationship between my running events and my Chi Running ability is circular.  I select events of increasing difficulty that require me to further develop my Chi Running ability to meet the increasing demands of the events. My last event involved running 7 marathons in 7 consecutive days (www.7marathons.ca), which I wouldn’t have considered attempting, if not for the magic of the Chi Running technique!

I like to help other runners achieve positive results in their own running.  I am dedicated to the development the Chi Running community in Ottawa, Canada by (i) bringing Chi Runners in the area together (ii) and help both new and existing Chi Runners develop/refine their technique.
