Sue Young-Johnson
I have always been an avid cyclist and this is great only in the summer. I wanted to have an activity that took me outdoors in the winter and would keep me fit. Well, I never thought I would be a long distance runner because of all the negative stories from my friends over the years - shin splints, IT injury, knee issues, back issues, feet problems, etc…...my journey through the running sport landed me with an IT band injury - I just knew there had to be a “correct” way to run….I researched and there it was “Chi Running” - it is not in the shoes it is solely in one’s running form. It made total sense to me - sometimes we tend to think too much, do too much when in actuality it is much simpler. That principle applies to running and walking. I am running with minimal effort and minimal recovery and I am loving every moment of my new-found “practice” of running and walking! It is is with great pride and pleasure to be a part of a growing team of “Chi” instructors. I am 56 and I can tell you that it is never too late to learn and appreciate this technique of running and walking! I look forward to teaching “Chi” to others! Thank you Danny!
